
Kyrstyn Ransom
Kyrstyn is the founder of Paws in Paradise. She moved to the Keys in 2017 and began pet sitting shortly after, through word of mouth she built up her cleintele for 5 years before realizing she could offer even more to the community. She hired her animal loving friends and from there Paws in Paradise was born.

Nicki Bendicksen
Nicki is from Massachusetts and has been living in the keys for over 2 years. She has 2 young dogs and loves hanging out with them. Nicki is a trainer at Dolphin Research Center. Her favorites are the big dogs, but does well with all breeds. Nicki specializes in reactive dogs, having two of her own.

Julia Kartje
Julia is a former veterinary technician from St. Louis, MO. She is currently working at Dolphin Research Center and has been in the keys since 2019. She has worked part time at Marathon Veterinary Hospitals ER and Cruz’s 24 hour ER in Cudjoe key. She loves taking the dogs she’s watching on long walks then snuggling on the couch together! She also has a soft spot for senior pets.

Katherine Crain
Katherine grew up on a farm in Kentucky, surrounded by animals. After earning a degree in Marine Science, she moved to the Florida Keys a year ago. She now works at Dolphin Research Center, where she enjoys spending time with all kinds of animals. However, guinea pigs hold a special place in her heart—she even has one of her own.

Lindsey Garcia
Lindsey, a Florida native from Orlando, is a dolphin trainer at Dolphin Research Center with experience training tigers and exotic birds. She’s grown up with dogs and cats and now shares her home with Miso, a tortoiseshell cat, and Mochi, a leopard gecko. With her extensive background and genuine love for animals, Lindsey provides exceptional care for your pets.

Melissa Goldblatt
Melissa is an animal lover from Detroit, Michigan who moved to FL to pursue a degree in Animal Behavior/Psychology from FAU. Her love of the Florida Keys brought her to Marathon where she fell in love with the community! Since then, Melissa has worked with many different species of animals including dolphins, sea turtles, birds,horses & dogs. She has over 10+years of experience caring for pets of all kinds as well as a background in positive reinforcement training. Her best friend is her pit mix named Xena who she rescued in 2019.

Beryl Battle
Beryl is originally from St. Pete, FL. Growing up she always had a minimum of 2 big dogs and 1 cat in the house, so she knew she always wanted to work with animals. She’s lucky enough to have two jobs that entail that: outside of Paws In Paradise she is a dolphin trainer at the Dolphin Research Center. Her favorite animals are dolphins and dogs, specifically German Shepards. Her strengths include working with reactive and nervous dogs.

Mallory Martin
Mallory Martin, a native to Cleveland, Ohio found her way to the Florida Keys after studying Animal Behavior and Psychology in school. Mallory is one of our wonderful dog walkers who specializes in senior animals and house checks while you and your loved ones are away.
